As I find more goodies in and around Northern Virginia, I'll add them here! I love finding little gems!

Sweet Root Village is one of the best collaborations of artists, vendors and event planners in the DC Metro area. Plus, they are sustainably minded.

 I love AFAC. This charity, and they give out year round. If you're looking for a place to volunteer time or energy, these folks are amazing.

If you've been looking for a home store the cater to your sustainable lifestyle, Amicus is it. These people are amazing.

The Village at Shirlington is an adorable new-urbanism development where you can wine-dine, catch a movie or a show, and run to the store all in one spot in South Arlington. It is precious. You'll love it!

The Mosaic District is an awesome Merrifield, VA development where you can find the poshest shops, upscale dining and take in an Angelika Film Center movie... it is divine. If you didn't like movies and food in conjunction with one another... you will now. Trust me.

Old Town Alexandria is a classic favorite of mine. With the cobbled streets, row houses and cute shops along the waterfront, you will enjoy a stroll in Old Town. The Arts will draw you in, too!

You're going to live and die by this amazing, locally owned boutique called Covet. It has wonderful gifts for all ages and yes... you will Covet it all!

 

Buzz Bakery in Ballston is a local hang out of mine. It is super close to my office in Ballston, and the staff is amazing. PLUS, they have excellent coffee and pastries!

If you haven't experienced the glory of Northside Social, sister restaurant to Liberty Tavern and Lyon Hall (both excellent), go there. It is yummy. It is in a great spot. You can feel the pulse of Arlington there. Me gusta muchisimo.
